| Description: | The Charleston Crew is a collegiate rowing club program, rowing on the Ashley River in Charleston, South Carolina. It started back in 1989, no boats, just ergs. A few college students, some of who rowed in high school, wanted to start a rowing team at the College of Charleston. The first races were rowed in borrowed boats. When the Crew started to get boats, they rowed out of several locations over the years before finding a home at the Bristol Marina on Ashley River. |
