The Catawba Yacht Club allows its members and guests of members to enjoy water sports on Lake Wylie, Charlotte, NC. CYC was founded in 1939 for the purpose of providing family-oriented sailing and docking facilities for members. The Club house was built near the end of Youngblood Road West on Lake Wylie in 1955. Although many aspects of the Club have changed over the years, providing family-oriented water sports for members remains the primary goal. |

Charlotte Youth Rowing is the first and largest youth rowing team in the area. We are sponsored by the Charlotte Mecklenburg YMCA system and hosted by the Catawba Yacht Club on Lake Wylie. Our rowers come from over 20 different schools in several counties and 2 states. We have about 50 active rowers. About half are young men and half are young women. |

NCCSR not for profit, new program with a few shells today, but the center plans to build a 50x75 foot boathouse on site. This house will have two bays and store boats five rows high. The center is also building a longer dock that will be used to launch sailboats and rowing shells. |
